Apple is rolling out its next significant update iOS 8.4 tomorrow. The update is set to start rolling out at 8AM PT (8.30PM IST), and will bring with it Apple Music. Apple’s worldwide radio station, Beats 1 will start streaming from 9AM (9.30PM IST) on the service tomorrow.

This announcement was made by Senior Director of Apple Music, Ian Rogers who wrote a blog post over the weekend (which has been removed) revealing the launch schedule of iOS 8.4. He spoke about the thought process behind making Apple Music, and what it is set out to do. Beats 1 Radio station will be made live worldwide  to almost 100 countries staring tomorrow, where DJ Zane Lowe kicks things off from Los Angeles. Even though the blog post has been removed, tweets from Rogers asking fans to update their devices to iOS 8.4 tomorrow continue.

As we all know, Apple is offering a three-month free trial service for users to test out the service.  Post that, US subscribers will have to pay $9.99 per month or $14.99 per month for a family account.  Subscribers will have streaming access to the full Apple Music catalog of over 30 million tracks.  In India, users may reportedly  have to pay Rs 120 per month for individual accounts, while a family account is priced at Rs 180 per month. Apple Music includes a feature called Connect. As the name suggests, it helps artists connect with their fans by uploading their music, photos, as well as studio sessions, lyrics and other behind the scenes clips/pics.

Separately, a representative from Sonos told BuzzFeed that “we’re working together to make Apple Music available on Sonos before the end of the year.”
