After teasing the Doodle 4 just a few days ago, Micromax has now officially launched the Doodle 4 in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,499 and will be available on all major retail outlets soon.

Even though the company has refrained from providing any clarity over availability, the smartphone is already listed on eBay for a slightly lesser price of Rs 9,199. As far as specifications are concerned, Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 flaunts a 6-inch IPS display with a 540×960 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MTK6582M) processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It offers 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Canvas Doodle 4 sports a 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a secondary 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Connectivity wise, it supports dual-SIM, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Just like its predecessor, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 does not come with stylus support. Just to compare, the Canvas Doodle 3 came with a disappointing FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6572 dual-core chipset paired with 512MB of RAM. Also included, was 4GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera, VGA front facing camera and a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0.  On the software front, it ran on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
