ZTE Blade S6 launched, featuring HD display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, Android Lollipop

ZTE today launched a new smartphone in its Blade series called the Blade S6 Plus. The phablet was first unveiled at MWC last month, alongside the Blade S6.

As the name suggests, the Blade S6 Plus is the phablet version of the Blade S6, featuring a 5.5-inch display. It has been globally launched via eBay with a price tag of $300 (Rs 18,660 approximately). In comparison, the 5-inch Blade S6 is priced at $250 (Rs 15,550 approximately).

As far as specifications are concerned, the Blade S6 Plus flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) JDI display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card.

The phablet also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash, a 5-megapixel camera up front, a 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box wrapped under MiFavor 3.0 UI.

As mentioned above, the smartphone is going on sale via eBay in countries like Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, and Ukraine. There is however no word on if the company plans on launching the smartphone in India.
