In addition to the new cheap Chromebooks and the Chromebook Flip, Google also took the wraps off the Chromebit. It is essentially a Chromebook crammed in a dongle.

The Chromebit can connect to any TV or monitor via an HDMI cable, and turn it into a Chromebook of sorts. Once connected, you will get access to Chrome OS and all its features. The stripped-down version is essentially a Chrome Web browser, augmented by some basic OS file functions.

The Chromebit is powered by a Rockchip 3288 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and features 16GB internal storage, and has a full-size USB 2.0 port for connecting accessories. It also comes with web browsing ability and has ability to use any cloud-based service, website or app. It connects to the Internet via Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

The first Chromebit will go on sale in summer, priced under $100 (Rs 6,235 approximately).
