Refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air launched in India, prices start at Rs 94,900 and Rs 72,900
At its ongoing Spring Forward in San Francisco, Apple introduced the latest addition to its laptop lineup: the 12-inch Retina-specced MacBook. But the new MacBook isn’t here to replace the existing MacBook Air lineups, as the Cupertino-based company has refreshed the 13-inch variants of both existing MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is now priced starting Rs 94,900, while the new 11-inch MacBook Air is now priced starting Rs 65,900. All the refreshed variants are available starting today through select Apple Authorized Resellers in India.
As for the changes, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display now comes with the all-new Force Track trackpad, and fifth generation Intel Core processors and Intel Iris Graphics 6100, which as the company claims, are two times faster flash and deliver longer battery life, “bringing even more performance and capabilities to our pro customers.”
The company also refreshed the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air lineups today. Both the variants now come with fifth generation Intel Core processors paired with Intel HD Graphics 6000 and Thunderbolt 2, as well as “up to two times faster flash” on the 13-inch MacBook Air.
As for the pricing, the 13-inch MacBook pro with Retina Display with a 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 8GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage starts at INR 94,900; while the 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 8GB of memory and 256GB of SSD starts at INR 109,900 inc VAT. Users can also check out the 2.9 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3 GHz, 8GB of memory and 512GB of flash storage which is priced at INR 129,900.
The new 11-inch MacBook with a 1.6 GHz processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.7 GHz, 4GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage starts at INR 65,900, while the 256GB of SSD storage variant is priced at INR 79,900. The 13-inch MacBook Air with a 1.6 GHz processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.7 GHz, 4GB of memory with 128GB of SSD starts at INR 72,900, and its 256GB of SSD storage variant starts at INR 86,900.
