At its event in New Delhi, all eyes were on LG launching the G Flex 2. While the company launched the smartphone for Rs 55,000, it also had another surprise up its sleeves — a very expensive surprise.

LG today launched the 105UC9T 5K TV in India. The 105-inch TV boasts a resolution of 5120×2160 pixels and is priced at a ridiculous Rs 60 lakhs. The TV features a 60P HEVC decoder, wireless sound sync, 4K 3D upscaler, and Harman/Kardon sound technology, a “magic remote” and runs on Web OS.

“India is a strategic market for LG. So we have been thinking in terms of a product mix based on global products as well as locally designed products. This is important to stay ahead,” Soon Kwon MD of LG Electronics India said.

Additionally, the company also launched a 77-inch curved 4K TV, priced at Rs 15 lakhs. It also updated its smart inverter range of refrigerators with Smart Connect, which switches on inverter mode when there is a drop in voltage or a power cut.

As mentioned above, the company launched the G Flex 2 with a self-healing back. The smartphone is priced at Rs 55,000, and is set to go on sale sometime later this month. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD Curved P-OLED (1920×1080 pixels) display, 2GHz Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.

Also included are 16GB internal storage, microSD card support, 3,000mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+ and laser auto focus, and a 2.1-megapixel shooter upfront. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Smart Ready 4.1, NFC, and USB 2.0. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
