In addition to the A7000, Lenovo today also announced the Vibe Shot in Barcelona at MWC 2015. Calling it a cameraphone, the company has created the handset to look like an normal camera, and has even embedded editing tools to support professional photography. Lenovo also highlights that the device runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Lenovo Vibe Shot has a 5-inch full HD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. It houses 32GB of storage (expandable up to 128GB), and runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.

The big talking point is the camera 16-megapixel rear camera with photo optimization features for both novice and professional photographers. It has a dedicated shutter button on the right bottom edge, for ease in snapping. If you hold the smartphone horizontally, the design structure at the back makes it look like a camera. The handset sports a metal strip at the back which holds a tricolor flash strip beside a round modular lens.

The front snapper has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies. Alongside the shutter button, there is also a toggle to switch from Smart to Pro modes. Smart mode is basically auto mode for casual users, while Pro mode gives you more control over white balance, exposure etc.

Connectivity wise, the Lenovo Vibe Shot offers dual-SIM functionality, 3G support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is available in red, white and grey color options and has an attached price tag of $349 (approximately Rs 21, 600). The Vibe Shot is set to launch globally in June, with no specific timeline for regional roll out.
