After the leadership reshuffle reported just a few days ago, HTC’s VP of Industrial Design, Jonah Becker has announced his departure from the company. He had taken up the responsibility from his predecessor Scott Coyle, who quit the company less than a year ago.

Becker had come to HTC in 2008, after it acquired design firm One & Co. HTC has announced that Becker would be replaced by creative director Daniel Hundt. The company released an official statement of this new change, while Becker also confirmed his resignation on Twitter.

Just last week, Peter Chou also stepped down from his CEO post, and was replaced by chairwoman and co-founder Cher Wang. Chou now heads HTC’s newly created Future Development Lab division.

Engadget reports that HTC is currently indulging in an ever increasing power struggle between the design team and sales team. The switch from the M8′s UltraPixel main camera to the M9′s 20-megapixel counterpart has been a cause of much debate internally.

Here’s HTC’s statement on Becker’s exit

We can confirm that Jonah Becker has left HTC; he had been with the company since HTC acquired One & Co over six years ago. We would like to thank Jonah for his work with HTC, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. He has been succeeded by Daniel Hundt, based in our San Francisco design office.
