sony-xperia-z4With Mobile World Congress less than a month away, more and more information about upcoming handsets has started to trickle out. We saw a plenty of new information about the Samsung Galaxy S6 today, and now it’s the turn of Sony’s flagship smartphone.

An anonymous Chinese Weibo user has uploaded photos of what he claims is the front panel of Sony Xperia Z4. While it resembles the Xperia Z3, there are a few noticeable changes. It seems the company has swapped the front-facing camera and sensor holes on the panel, indicating improvements in the selfie camera.

The bezel on the cover also seems a little thinner, perhaps the company wants to accommodate a larger screen — something previous reports have suggested — without increasing the size of the phone by much.

From what we’ve heard so far, the Sony Xperia Z4 is likely to sport a 5.5-inch display with 2560×1440 screen resolution, and be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. On the camera front, the handset is pegged to come with a 20.7-megapixel sensor at the back and a 4.8-megapixel wide-angle shooter upfront. Other features include a 3,420mAh battery powering the phone, and IP68 water and dust resistance.

It is all but confirmed that the company will be launching a flagship handset at Mobile World Congress. The company moved to a 6-month update cycle from a typical one-year period last year. It also dropped the price of several of its premium handset in India last month, hinting that a new phone is on the way.
