HTC has given plenty of hints since late 2013 that it is working on a wearable. At CES last month, the company also announced its partnership with American sportswear maker Under Armour to launch a series of fitness-related wearables. We might finally have some information about this forthcoming wearable.

According to leakster @Upleaks, HTC’s first wearable is called “Petra,” and is essentially a cross-platform fitness-tracking smartband. It will be compatible with smartphones running on Android KitKat or iOS 7 and above.

The smartband will feature a 1.8-inch PMOLED display with a resolution of 160×32, and it will communicate with a smartphone via Bluetooth. Additionally it is expected to have its own GPS receiver, and boast a battery that will last up to three days.

As for functionality, in addition to fitness and sports-related tracking, the smartband will also come with an alarm clock, timer, stopwatch, and will also display notifications from the paired smartphone.

The leakster also claims that the smartband will come in three sizes, and will hit the US market sometime in this quarter. It is highly likely to be unveiled at MWC next month, alongside the flagship HTC One (M9).
