As expected, Xiaomi today launched its latest flagship device. But unlike what was widely rumored, it is not the Mi 5, but the Mi Note, which as the name suggests is a flagship phablet. The Mi Note is priced at 2,299 Yuan, which roughly translates to around Rs 23,000.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Mi Note flaunts a 5.7-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with dynamic contrast pixel adjustment technology, which automatically improves contrast of darker areas to make the picture appear better. The device boasts a 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on both sides, which makes the device resistant to scratches and shattering.

As for power, the Mi Note is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Also included are 16GB and 64GB internal storage.

For photography enthusiasts, the Mi Note features a 13-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by a two-tone flash similar to the one on the Apple iPhone 6, and it also boasts a low light mode, wherein users are able to adjust the intensity of the LED flash. On the front, there is a 4-megapixel selfie snapper.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The phablet is also very slim at 6.95mm slim body, which is much slimmer than the 8.9mm Mi 4 and the 7.1mm iPhone 6 Plus phablet. It also weighs only 162 grams, which too is less than the 172 grams iPhone 6 Plus.
