Sony seems to be planning on launching the PlayStation TV in India. The micro-console has been listed on India e-commerce sites including Amazon India and Flipkart with a price tag of Rs 12,990. First spotted by NDTVGadgets, the console could be launched in the country by mid-February.

For those who’re unfamiliar, the PlayStation TV is a sleek gaming console that connects to TV via HDMI port and lets you play PS Vita, PSP and PS One titles and beam other media content via memory card on the big screen. It comes with a DualShock 3 controller and supports the DualShock 4 wireless controller as well.

The console also comes with Remote Play, which lets you stream PlayStation 4 games to the TV, a handy feature for when the TV to which you have connected the PS4 to is occupied by other people. As far as the specifications of the PlayStation TV are concerned, it packs in 1GB built-in storage, an 8GB memory card, an HDMI output port, and USB 2.0 ports. The package also includes four game titles namely Killzone Mercenary, OlliOlli, Worms Revolution Extreme, and Velocity Ultra.

The Rs 12,990 price tag is pretty sharp too, as it will actually cost you more if you purchase the console with all its offerings and game titles from grey market. The Amazon India listing reveals that the PlayStation TV will be available for purchase starting February 15.
