Samsung Z1 Tizen-powered smartphone launched in India for Rs 5,700: Specifications and features
Samsung just launched the Z1, its first Tizen-powered smartphone in India today. The device will be available from today for the price of Rs 5,700.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Z1 features a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) PLS TFT display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 768MB of RAM. The smartphone also includes 4GB internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
The Z1 has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It packs a 1,500mAh battery and runs on Samsung’s home grown Tizen OS. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It will be available in white, black and wine red.
The company also reveals that the Samsung Z1 has been fully developed in India. At this price point, it will face stiff competition from the Android One smartphones as well as the Moto E and Xiaomi’s popular Redmi 1S.
