Lenovo’s Yoga lineup of notebook has been lauded for its ability to swing 360 degrees, different working mode offerings, portability, and its well-made build. In fact, it is one of the few Windows-powered convertibles that has been a success. Lenovo recognizes the demand of the said tablet lineup, and perhaps that is why the company at the ongoing CES event announced a 14-inch version of Yoga, called the Yoga 3 which is aimed at users who prefer a little larger screen. The company also announced Yoga-like convertibles, more on this later.

The Yoga 3 comes in two screen sizes: 11-inches and 14-inches. While the 11-inch model is the lightest Yoga yet, the 14-inch version, which seems to have been made fit into a 13-inch body, isn’t as impressive as the Yoga 3 Pro from last year. The company, however, has enhanced one feature that all Yoga users appreciate: its ability to mold into different working modes as per requirement. The keyboard, when rotated around 180 degrees on its axis, automatically disables itself. The company notes that it has provided some significant optimization to the hinge.

As far as specifications are concerned, the 14-inch Yoga 3 comes paired with Intel fifth-generation Core processor with FHD display. This is kind of a downer for those who were expecting QHD+ screen resolution as used in Yoga 3 Pro. The 11-inch model comes with the latest Core M processor, which is a fanless chip. The FHD display on the 11-inch screen, however, isn’t as bad on the 14-inch.

Both the tablets come with a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 2.0 port, with an SD card slot, an HDMI output, and storage up to 256GB for the 11-inch and 500GB for the 14-inch model.

The Yoga 3 comes in orange, silver, white or black, and will be available in March. Prices start at $799 for the 11-inch model and $979 for the 14-inch version.

In addition, the company also expanded its ThinkPad Yoga line, adding 14 and 15-inch options to the current 12-inch model. These devices come with fifth-generation Intel Core i processors with up to 1TB of storage. The company has dropped the Adaptive Keyboard idea for physical function keys.

Lenovo has also announced the Yoga Tablet 2, which sports an 8-inch display with 1080p screen resolution. It is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of memory.

The highlight of the Yoga Tablet 2 include the AnyPen Technology, which as the company describes, allows users to write on the screen and can use almost anything for a stylus. And to use this feature, users are urged to use real pencils and ballpoint pens. The Yoga Tablet 2 is priced at $299.
