CES 2015 Live: HP launches 4K, 5K and curved displays

Looks like HP is going gung-ho on display screens. The tech giant has announced its portfolio of products that it is going to showcase at CES this year, and the display lineup reveals that HP is bringing a range of curved, 4K and 5K displays, in addition to its unique Zvr Virtual Reality Display.

The product catalogue includes two 4K displays, the HP Z27s and HP Z24s. The HP Z27s features a 27-inch screen and the Z24s features a 23.8-inch screen. They both have 16:9 UHD panel display with USB 3.0 connection and a stand that helps the display switch from landscape mode to portrait mode. Additionally they both come with a DisplayPort, CVI, HDMI, Mini-DP, MHL and are expected to launch worldwide in this year. Specifically, the HP Z27s will launch this month for $749 (Rs 47,500 approximately) and the HP Z24s will launch in April for $549 (Rs 34,800 approximately).

There is also the 5K display called the HP Z27q which features a 27-inch screen with 5120×2880 pixel resolution. The HP Z27q comes with picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture features that let you display real-time feeds from mobile gadgets and other PCs. It is expected to launch in March for $1,299 (Rs 82,000 approximately).

The four curved displays announced today are the HP EliteDisplay S270c, HP Z34c, HP Pavilion 27c 4000r and HP ENVY 34c 3000r. They all have 178-degree viewing angles, 3000:1 CR, and ‘low-haze enhancement technology’ – a feature that minimizes reflectivity. The HP EliteDisplay S270c and HP Pavilion 27c 4000r are 27-inch displays with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080p resolution. They are both available now in the US for $399 (Rs 25,300 approximately).

Lastly, the HP Z34c and HP ENVY 34c 3000r featuring 34-inch curved displays with a wide 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440×1440 pixel resolution. They are expected to launch in April for $999 (Rs 63,300 approximately).
