Audi Coimbatore launches Audi A3 Cabriolet For Rs. 54 lakh

Audi Coimbatore (Jahnvi Motor Private Limited), which has sold about 300 Audi cars in the State (except Chennai) in 2014, launched Audi A3 Cabriolet here on Wednesday.

According to Managing Director of Audi Coimbatore C.R. Anandakrishnan, since 2012 – when Audi Coimbatore was inaugurated – about 650 Audi vehicles have been sold here. The average price of these cars sold in the rest of Chennai region in the State is Rs. 35 lakh to Rs. 40 lakh.

The Audi A3 Cabriolet was launched in New Delhi last month.

The compact luxury convertible has five options and is priced (on road) between Rs. 54 lakh and Rs. 60 lakh. Customers who are going in for their second or third car and who want to have it as a lifestyle product are the expected buyers.

It has opened up a new market.

At the national level, Audi India registered sale of 10,002 units in 2013 and 10,126 units in the financial year 2013-2014. The compact luxury segment is one of the fastest growing segments in the luxury car industry.
