Xiaomi Mi laptop images and specifications leaked, speculated to be priced at $499
Today, Xiaomi announced its the completion of its $1.1 billion funding round that puts the valuation of the company at $45 billion. In the announcement, we also got to know of a possible Mi 5 launch on January 15. And now, reports of a laptop in-the-making by the Chinese vendor have emerged. GizmoChina has leaked images and specifications of the Mi laptop.
Calling it the Xiaomi Notebook, the spec leaks suggest that the device will have a 15-inch fullHD 1080p display and will be powered by an Intel Haswell chip – i7 4500U and boats two 8GB dual channel memory modules, for a total of 16GB of RAM. The pricing of the device is set to be at $499 (Rs 32,000 approximately).
The images indicate uncanny similarity with Apple’s Macbook Air sans the orange colored logo on the front. At the back also, there is a silver colored logo of Xiaomi. The images also showcase an eye-catching orange button on the top-right corner, which the report claims will take custom functions from the user.
Xiaomi has been foraying into many consumer products, and they even unveiled a Mi air purifier recently for Rs 9,000. The company is also reportedly unveiling a host of devices in early 2015.
