Samsung Galaxy Core Prime listed on company’s India eStore, priced at Rs 9,700: Specifications and features

Earlier this month, a Mumbai-based mobile retailer revealed that Samsung was set to soon launch a new smartphone called Galaxy Core Prime. The company has now quietly listed the smartphone on its India eStore with a price tag of Rs 9,700.

According to the listing, the Galaxy Core Prime features a 4.5-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,000mAh battery, with ultra power saving mode. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Core last year, and has since followed it up by launching the Galaxy Core Advance, and the Galaxy Core Plus. More recently it also launched the Galaxy Core 2 in India, priced at Rs 11,190. This smartphone features a 4.5-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 768MB of RAM and 4GB expandable memory. Also included are 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 2,000mAh battery, and it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
