iOS 8.1.2 update released for iPhones, iPad and iPod touch

Moments ago Apple released iOS 8.1.2 update for iPhones, iPad and iPod touch. The update essentially brings in some bug fixes, including a fix for an issue regarding ringtones purchased from Apple being removed from devices.

The update isn’t that big and only weighs between 15.7MB to 27.8MB in size depending upon your device. You can head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update to update your devices.

Since releasing iOS 8 in September, Apple has rolled out several patch updates. The first patch update, iOS 8.0.1 which arrived days after iOS 8 release botched the cellular connectivity and disabled the Touch ID sensor. The company rectified the bugs with iOS 8.0.2 update.

Apple then released iOS 8.1 update in October, bringing in many new features including network selection option that lets users choose between 2G, 3G and 4G LTE data connections. The update also brought support for mobile payment option Apple Pay, Continuity, iCloud Photo Library, and marked the return of the Camera Roll.
