Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme laptops now available in India

Technology giant, Dell has recently launched two new devices in India, the Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme notebook and the Latitide 12 Rugged extreme. The tough convertible notebooks are aimed squarely at those who constantly deal with harsh terrain and will seem a bit out of place in an urban office.

The Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme devices operate fine under pressure, and can even be operated under conditions such as moisture, dust, vibrations, extreme temperatures etc. Possible targets for this device will be adventure enthusiasts, military services, manafacturing, construction industries, to name a few.

Dell claims that the Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks are put through rigorous and extreme military standard tests, which even include being dropped from as high as 6 feet. Other measures include ingress protection, emissions as well as hazardous material certification. Features such as pogo-pin docking, a RGB keyboard that can be customised, native serial ports, a privacy shutter on the webcam and even a stealth mode make this device unique.

The Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme is equipped with the choices between fourth- generation Intel Core i3, i5, and even i7 dual-core processors, upto 16GB RAM, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400, or Intel HD Graphics 5000, as well as a HD 16:9 Direct-View outdoor readable display .
