After launching the Opus HD smartphone a few days ago, Xolo has quietly listed a new smartphone on its website called the Xolo One. The smartphone runs on Android KitKat, and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It is priced at Rs 6,599.

As far as the specifications go, the device has a 4.5-inch FWVGA 854×480 pixels display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor paired with 1GB RAM and Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The phone has 8GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

The Xolo One has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.  It packs 1,700mAh battery, has 3G connectivity and dual-SIM support. It has leather-like back cover, and will be available in red, white, black and brown color variants.

At this price point, the smartphone will compete with all Google’s Android One smartphones. The device will also compete with the Xiaomi Redmi 1S which is priced slightly low at Rs 5,999.
