While the Xiaomi Redmi Note has yet to launch in India, its successor is already surfacing online with increased frequency. After seeing an alleged back cover earlier this month, an alleged render of its back panel has leaked yet again, GSMDome reports.

The latest leaked photo shows the top part of the rear panel with the focus on the camera module. There are however quite a few discrepancies. For one the design is inconsistent with the back panel that leaked earlier this month, and is also drastically different from the current-gen Redmi Note. Additionally, the photo shows an 8-megapixel camera module, which too is not in line with earlier rumors claiming the phablet will boast a 13-megapixel snapper alongside a dual-LED flash. As with rumors, we would recommend you take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.

From what we have so far, the Redmi Note 2 is likely to flaunt a 5.5-inch 1080p display and will be powered by either a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, or MediaTek MT6595 chipset. Additionally, it is also likely to feature 2GB of RAM, dual-SIM card slots, and a 3,500mAh battery.

The original Xiaomi Redmi Note is set to go on sale in India in the next two months, priced at Rs 9,999. The phablet features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, 1.7GHz Mediatek’s MT6592 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. It also features a 3,100mAh battery and 13-megapixel rear/5-megapixel front cameras.
