A couple of weeks back, the One (M8 EYE) quietly went on sale in China. Today, the One (M8) variant has been launched in India, priced at Rs 38,990. The device will be available in retail stores from tomorrow.

The One (M8 EYE), as mentioned above, is essentially a variant of the One (M8), which offers a better camera and HTC’s EYE experience. So essentially, HTC has replaced the 4-Ultrapixel camera on the flagship device with a 13-megapixel snapper. The Duo Camera setup remains, and so does the 5-megapixel camera at the front. This combination of cameras was first introduced on the Butterfly 2, which was launched in Japan last month.

The rest of the specifications however remain the same. So you get a 5-inch 1080p display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB/32GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2,600mAh battery. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android KitKat.
