Google’s Nexus 6 by Motorola announced, features QHD display, 13-megapixel camera with OIS

Putting all rumors to rest, Google just introduced the latest addition to its smartphone line-up, the Nexus 6 which will be running on the brand new Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Nexus 6 is priced at $649 and will be up for pre-order on October 29, and it’ll be available in stores beginning in November.

Design wise, the Nexus 6 features metal trim around the outside, a circular flash ring, and even a dimpled Motorola logo. The phone is powered by 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor paired with 3GB RAM and Adreno 420 GPU. The phone is available in 32GB or 64GB storage options. As mentioned above, the device has a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Nexus 6 pack s a 3,220mAh battery and is available in midnight blue and cloud white variants. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC.

The biggest attraction of the phone is that it runs on Google latest Android release. Finally revealing the name, Google is calling its next version the Android Lollipop. The Nexus 6 also includes Motorola’s Turbo Chargers, which can charge the phone back up to six hours worth of battery life in 15 minutes. The US price of the device is $649 or on a monthly contract.

In addition to the Nexus 6, Google also announced the Nexus 9 tablet and a streaming media player called the Nexus Player today.
