We reported earlier that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is coming to India on October 17. We also reported on the grey market and online availability of both the variants. Now, the latest comes from NDTV Gadgets, who claim to have gotten hold of the official prices of the two devices.

The report reveals that it has got its hands on emails sent out by Apple authorized dealers to customers mentioning the pricing and availability details. According to the email, the 16GB iPhone 6 will cost Rs 53,500, while the iPhone 6 Plus will cost Rs 62,500.

Furthermore, the 64GB and 128GB 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be priced at Rs 62,500 and Rs 71,500 respectively. Similarly, the 64GB and 128GB 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus will cost Rs 71,500 Rs 80,500 respectively. The report further reveals that the Apple authorised dealers will start taking pre-orders next week, with customers who pre-book receiving their units on 16th night itself.

Interestingly last year, all storage variants of the iPhone 5S were launched in India at the same price as the leaked iPhone 6 prices this year. The iPhone 5S started from Rs 53,500 for 16GB, Rs 62,500 for 32GB and Rs 71,500 for 64GB variants.

Apple had unveiled the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on September 9. The new iPhones are now available in many countries. As far as the operating system is concerned, the iOS 8.1 update is coming out on October 20. This update is said to bring support for Apple Pay, the toggle switch for 2G, 3G and 4G and also see the return of camera roll. Apple is also scheduled to launch the new generation iPads, OS X Yosemite and the new iMacs at an event in Cupertino on October 16.
