In addition to the flagship Xperia Z3, Sony also launched the Xperia Z3 Compact in India. The smaller variant of the flagship device is priced at Rs 44,990.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Xperia Z3 Compact flaunts a 4.6-inch HD 720p display with pixel density of 319ppi. The device is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.  The Xperia Z3 Compact has 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The phone is IP68 certified which means that it is dust proof and is water resistant over one meter underwater for 30 minutes.

As for the camera, it sports 20.7-megapixel rear and 2.2-megapixel front-facing shooters. However, there are new additions to camera features like Face In, Multi-camera and Sound Photo among others. The device houses a 2,600mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, and 3G.

The Xperia Z3 Compact was first unveiled in Berlin earlier this month, at a pre-IFA event.
